How to de-stress in your university without hampering your savings

University is the first place in your life where you will be treated like a full grown adult instead of an over grown child and dealing with it is as stressful as it sounds. It is important to make sure that you are not over-stressed because it will affect your productivity. When your productivity decreases, you will not be able to attain your goals, whereby your college dreams will be shattered. Here are few tips to de-stress in college and make sure you stay on top of your game.

Go for a short walk or engage in yoga or exercise

This is a general tip which helps people to unwind. It is easier to engage in physical activity like walking or jogging or yoga or exercise for a few minutes. It helps you to reduce your stress by releasing endorphins into your system. If you engage in rigorous exercise, it might even act like a jump start to your CNS. All kinds of physical activities, helps to relax easily. If you are not interested in exercise, you can just take on breathing exercises.

Take a drink

You can take small quantity of alcoholic beverages like Scotch whisky, Champagne or Tequila. If you are not into hard liquor then you can try drinks like moscato Singapore, merlot Italy or chardonnay or different types of wines which are pretty cheap but are of goof quality. However, it is important to understand that not all drinks are harmful. It should be noted that wines (alcoholic or not), has several benefits. But, if you are drinking fake alcohol, it is dangerous with harmful health effects; therefore, it is better to keep away from fake bottles of alcohol. If you are trying to stay away from alcohol, you can go for natural juices like coconut water, milk, fruit and vegetable juice or even tea.

Take a bath or go to a sauna or swim

It is important to note that submerging in water helps relax the muscles and de-stresses people. It is also important to make sure that if you are not allergic to chlorine or have any kind of allergies before using public venues.

Apart from those, you can also do other things like baking or cooking, have few (indoor or outdoor) plants or listen to music. If you are not interested in those, you can find pressure points in your body and massage them to help you release your knots whereby you will feel less stressed.  However, if you have better time management skills and planning, then you will be able to reduce your stress. You can breakdown your large goal into smaller goals which makes them, manageable and attainable.
